Rome to Florence Transfer

Rome to Florence Transfer is a chauffeur-driven car-hire service that allows you to reach in a few hours the wonderful Tuscan city leaving from any place in the Italian capital. You’ll travel in a vehicle equipped with every comfort and driven by a private driver, crossing one of the most evocative stretches of the highway Autostrada del Sole A1. This thoroughfare crosses the Italian peninsula from north to south, passing through extraordinary naturalistic sceneries. With your Transfers Rome car you’ll go through the last part of Lazio that reaches out to Umbria. You’ll pass close to Fiano Romano and you’ll be able to admire the high tuff cliff, surrounded by an oxbow of the River Tiber, on which stands the town of Orte. You’ll find yourselves at the center of the Tiber Valley, a land inhabited once by the Etruscans. During the Transfer you’ll follow in the footsteps of the ancients, admiring the numerous villas and farms scattered in the Latial countryside. From Lazio you’ll arrive in Umbria, another Italian region rich in history and wonderful naturalistic scenarios. The highway A1 passes next to Orvieto, that you’ll be able to admire from your car window. The Umbrian city is located about 100 km from Rome and 150 km from Florence. Here you’ll be able to have a break in a roadside restaurant before continuing with your transfer toward Florence.

Going on with your car journey, you’ll find yourself immersed in another interesting landscape: the Valdichiana, a pleasant valley of Tuscany, enclosed between the mounts of Cortona and the Umbrian hills. Through hillocks, hills and verdant plains, during the Rome to Florence transfers you’ll come across some of the most evocative Tuscan locations: Chianciano, famous for its healing thermal waters; Chiusi, renowned town of Etruscan origin; Sarteano, where every year a Saracen Joust is held; Città della Pieve, an artistic center renowned also for its excellent food and wine products. Once left the Chiana Valley, you’ll go in the so called area of the upper Valdarno, between Arezzo and Florence. Here during the Middle Ages the Florentine Republic created two military garrisons to reduce the attacks of the rival cities Arezzo and Siena, and to reduce the power of the local landlords. We are talking about today’s towns of San Giovanni Valdarno and of Terranuova Bracciolini. You’ll enjoy the view of landscapes of exceptional beauty till you arrive in Florence. Together with the service Rome to Florence Transfer, Transfers Rome recommends you combine the tour of the Tuscan city, to visit the most important monuments and points of interest.
